Since its inception in 1968 by Jack Flynn, Executive Suite has demonstrated its potential for growth with its phenomenal undertakings.
Under the leadership of Cooper and Betty Welch in 1972, the trend for an ideal and warm workplace was set. “Executive Suite was a new concept in Santa Clara County and the Silicon Valley when the Welch’s bought it in 1972; we were the only one,” said Cooper Welch. “What we should have done then is copyrighted the name. Soon we noticed Executive Suite – – by that name, Executive Suite, popping up everywhere.”
The Welch’s cited the location of Executive Suite as ideal and a great convenience for businesses. Our proximity to the San Jose International Airport, Lockheed Aerospace facility, and just being centered in the heart of Silicon Valley has brought popularity to Executive Suite. This combined with the Welch’s friendly style of management contributed to the early growth of the company. “We noticed Executive Suites come and go. Some clients from those suites came and rented from us,” reminisced Cooper Welch. “We ran our business differently than others. We ran it as a family and became close to our clients. We kept our clients for a long time.”
The Trend set by the Welch’s is now continued by Michael Thomas. In December of 1992, Michael transitioned to Executive Suite 100 and became its new Director. He brought with him, his vast business knowledge and property management experience, he envisioned a unique establishment where the ambitions and goals of individual businesses are met.
